    How to make LED light up eyes for props. Here is a video to modify a posable Halloween skeleton prop to have glowing colored LED lights in see through eyes. This video focuses on the modification to the store bought 5′ (60″) or life size poseable Halloween skeletons you see for sale. The Walgreens or Costco indoor outdoor skeletons work great in any home or yard haunt or for a Halloween display. They are super nice cause they move movable life like joints that can be locked into place. You can pose them in scary and spooky ways or in fun comedic scenes in your haunted house. For an added bonus you can add an extra detail pretty easily by making the eyes light up. This will make the skeleton just a little creepier or fun. We use RGB Led sign modules wired to a small power supply which gives us the control of choosing the color for each skelly’s head. We purchased most of our lighting supplies from either superbrightled.com or jsledpower.com from local suppliers. The semi clear plastic 1″ balls can be purchased from Grainger or McMaster carr among several other online suppliers. We drilled out the eye sockets with a Dremel tool and drill bit tip. Hot glued the plastic eyes into place. We cut small slits in the back of the skull to install the light and ran the power cord down its spinal cord.
